My vision

My zine grabs the attention of teens at Saline High School. The curious cover with claws ripping through it and a blood-red Hello? Both of them cause lots of questions that people walking by need answers for. Students and some teachers pick it up and see the mysterious inside full of secrets, stories, and real experiences involving the supernatural world: (creatures that hunt in the night, growl, drink blood, howl at the moon, eat goats, breathe fire, and a lot more.) My zine’s full of campfire-worthy stories that will definitely scare the kids. I have gotten many emails and comments on my zine saying that the stories did exactly that.

My zine can be found in several places around the school and the town. Bathrooms, libraries, the lunch room, and more. I see a few groups of students reading them in the hallways and even stealing them from their stations in public places because they are so interested. A couple of them take my zine home to their families.

I have had some discussions with readers who find me in the hallway asking if the stories in my zine were actually true, and even a few saying that my zine was full of lies and crazy people trying to get attention. I tell them that I just give them the facts and stories that I researched, and that they can believe what they want to believe. I just wanted to lay out the stories to help them choose exactly what they want to believe in.

My zine has showed evidence that some creatures could exist, while some really are just stories. It has told everything there is to know about every creature included in it and the real life experiences (if any) that people have had. Photographs, stories, videos (on the website) that show that there really are other creatures out there that have only been seen by a few people. My zine shows that we really are living in a supernatural world.
